This little Nakiri shaped knife ( which we call Mukimono in Japan ) is handcrafted by our in-house knife master Masaaki Saito here in Brisbane.
This small but wide blade is very handy for doing delicate, detailed works from peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables to pretty much anything except bones, extra hard ingredients or frozen food.
It is also a great size and shape for kid's first knife as it doesn't have pointy tip. ( The blade is still very sharp so adult supervision required!! )
The blade is made from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel with an universal edge ( 50/50 ) for both right and left hands.
12C27 Stainless steel is an outstanding knife steel, known for its long edge retention and easy maintenance.
The semi octagonal handle is made from Rosewood sourced from Northern NSW secured with a mosaic pin.
Beautifully polished natural wooden handle gives you a very comfortable grip and outshines from other mass produced knives.
This knife is one and only, handcrafted with love by knife master Masaaki Saito at here from blade to handle.
