Aritsugu multipurpose knife made from Japanese high carbon steel.
Santoku is a small-medium size all round knife with wider blade.
It is a great shape and size for everyday home use and for use during service in busy commercial kitchens.
The thinly tapered edge is perfect for shredding, slicing, dicing vegetables, meat and fish so in short, good for everything except bones or frozen food.
The blade is made from top quality Japanese high carbon steel that holds the edge for long time.
We hand sharpen each knife before being shipped to perfection so the knife is ready for full performance straight out of the box.
The handle is made of highly durable Black Pakka wood ( Composited with resin under high pressure ) secured with 2 rivets.
Aritsugu is known for one of the top 2 makers in Japan with more than 400 years of blade forging history.
Please note that this knife is made from high carbon steel and blade may tarnish or rust if not maintained properly.
Please wash and wipe dry after use then keep in a cool dry area.
A rust eraser or cleansing compound can be used to keep the blade free from rust.
Add an optional saya sheath for extra care if you carry the knife around.
