This Santoku knife is handcrafted by our proprietor and knife master Masaaki Saito at here in Northern NSW.
Santoku knife is an all-round and very useful wide faced knife for almost all tasks except cutting extremely hard ingredients like bones and frozen food.
The wide face and tall heel help slicing vegetables flawlessly without hitting your knuckles on chopping board and less pointy tip gives you more ease manoeuvring.
The blade is made from 12C27 Swedish stainless steel and has 50 / 50 universal edge.
12C27 is a very reliable, high performance knife steel and is known especially for long edge life and easy maintenance.
The handle is made from Red Gum and Boxwood ferrule.
This knife is one and only, made by our knife master Masaaki Saito at here from handle to the blade.
