This chef knife ( Gyuto ) is handcrafted here in Northern NSW by Masaaki Saito, our proprietor and Knife master from Japan.
Gyuto is the most versatile knife in the kitchen and can be used for all sort of tasks.
This Gyuto has a good blade width of 58mm so that there is enough space between your knuckle and chopping board when cutting.
The beautifully outlined and thinly tapered blade is made of Swedish 12C27 stainless steel.
12C27 is a very reliable, high performance knife steel and has amazing reputation for long edge retention and easy maintenance.
This knife has 50:50 universal edge for both right and left hand.
The octagonal shaped handle fits in hand comfortably and is made of QLD Maple.
